What we do

BayStreetBrother provides business acquisition consulting and general educational information to people thinking about buying a business. We are not a real estate or business brokerage, lender, mortgage broker, law firm, accounting firm, or registered securities dealer or adviser. We do not list businesses for sale, trade in or negotiate the purchase or sale of any business on anyone's behalf, or arrange or approve financing.

No professional advice

Everything on this website, in our emails and in any free estimate is general information for educational purposes. It is not legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment or lending advice, and it is not tailored to your situation. Before making any decision, get advice from qualified, licensed professionals.

No client relationship

Using this website, filling in a form, emailing us or having a call does not make you our client. A client relationship starts only when we both sign a written engagement agreement, and that agreement sets out the full scope of our services.

Your decisions

You are responsible for your own decisions, including whether to buy a business, what to offer and how to finance it. Any analysis, benchmark or estimate we provide is based on information from you, sellers and third parties that we do not verify. Results are never guaranteed.

Introductions to other professionals

We may share names of business brokers, lenders, lawyers, accountants or other professionals. These are suggestions, not endorsements. They are independent of us, you decide whether to hire them, and they are responsible for their own services. If we would receive a referral fee from anyone we introduce you to, we will tell you in writing before you engage them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BayStreetBrother is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or the information on it. Our liability for paid services is limited as set out in your engagement agreement.

Accuracy

We try to keep this website accurate and current, but we make no promises that it is complete or error-free. Information about loan programs and regulations can change.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
